Marg Helgenberger is an American actress who achieved notoriety for her portrayal of Siobhan Ryan on the TV series 'Ryan's Love'. Her transition from being a village girl Hollywood was quite remarkable. In the beginning, her desire wasn't to be an actor. Instead, she was determined to follow in her mother's footsteps, and eventually become a nurse. When she was visiting colleges to choose the course that she would like to study, she became fascinated by performing. A talent scout noticed her while she was performing in a stage production at the university. He encouraged her to take on a job as an actor. After a stint in the film 'Ryan's hope", she landed 'China Beach' and many other notable TV and film performances, cementing her status as an actor. Her portrayal as a victim of exposure to chemicals in the movie "Erin Brockovich" was among her most critically acclaimed roles. Marg is a very active woman but still finds time to support charitable causes. She hosts an annual famous golf tournament which raises money to promote awareness about breast cancer. Marg's mom is a 27-year breast cancer survivors.
